Communicating science via policy briefs: Sessions for co-working or learning

Navigating the New Arctic Community Office (NNA-CO) and the Study of Environmental Arctic Change (SEARCH) are pleased to welcome you to online co-work and learning sessions to help researchers and collaborators communicate with policy makers.

Many researchers and project participants are interested in using science policy briefs to share their knowledge and findings with decision makers. To support this, the NNA-CO in partnership with SEARCH will host regular sessions to facilitate work time and provide space for discussion and advising. Each session will be setup to provide parallel pathways: one to allow experienced participants to work directly on their brief and a second to get new folks started. Instruction will focus on using the Arctic Answers templates and resources, which include a pathway to publication. Each session will include time for discussing ideas, challenges, and lessons learned across participants. Sessions are standalone and participants can join as many as they like.

Sessions:

  • May session (virtual on Zoom): May 16, 2024, 12:00-1:00pm MT (Facilitated by Twila Moon, NNA-CO Convergence Research Lead)
  • June session (virtual on Zoom): June 11, 2024, 2:00-3:00pm MT (Facilitated by Twila Moon, NNA-CO Convergence Research Lead)
