Storytelling plays an important role in science outreach and connecting our science to communities. Through storytelling, scientists can convey their research findings in a compelling and accessible manner. Science stories can take many forms, from traditional oral stories to more modern virtual field trips, storymaps and short-form videos. It is important to include diverse narratives when sharing about the places where research takes place and any story about Indigenous lands must include Indigenous voices and honor Indigenous perspectives.
